Auschwitz

This is the entrance to Auschwitz where Elie and his father were during the Holocaust. This picture reminds me of the part in the book where they are made to march outside of the camp and he reads the sign. The sign means work makes you free. They would never be free because of the work they were forced to do. Their only way out was unfortunately death.

Children from the Holocaust

These children are arriving to a concentration camp. In the picture either Hitler or another one of his soldiers is getting down in a child's face probably to yell. These children look like they just want to know what is going on. Others look scared. This picture sort of reminds me of the part in the book where Elie is separated from his mother and sisters. It reminds me of that because he, being an older child, was deemed fit to work. While his mother and sisters where probable looked at as worthless.

Racial Hatred

This picture is from one of the concentration camps during the Holocaust. The people that were kept in the concentration camps weren't looked at as humans as this picture shows. They didn't even respect them as human enough to deserve proper placing after death. They were just treated like a rag doll or dirt. This picture is so memorable because it amazes me that people could be so cruel to another human being. It wasn't enough to just throw them in piles now it looks as if they are bulldozing the pile of dead bodies so they don't have to work as hard to move them. This is terrible no human deserves this.
